Team Building. Stress Management. Conferences.

WCT paintball is the ideal scenario to incorporate Team Building and Stress Management Programmes, Conference Themes

Team Building: WCT paintball can show people how to work together. To succeed in the game, teams must develop strategies and carry out a plan. Communications, group dynamics and leadership come in to play.

Stress Management. Fight or Flight Response.
Today many people are living in a constant state of stress and this triggers their fight or flight response. Fight or flight response is a primitive survival reaction giving the body extra energy to enable us to physically fight or run away when faced with danger.

Many of the major stresses today trigger the full activation of fight or flight response. In most cases today, once our fight or flight response is activated, we can not follow through the natural process. We can not fight. We can not physically run from our perceived threats. This causes us to act or respond in ways that are counterproductive to our work performance
and life in general.

WCT paintball offers an ideal opportunity for people/staff to carry out the full natural process of the fight and flight response from beginning to end. When playing WCT paintball people can choose to stay and “fight” or they can choose to “flight” and run away. It is evident after the game the great exhilaration of the players, the release they’ve achieved, with their excitement and their re-experiencing of the thrill together. This is an excellent form of Stress Management.

Conferences.

WCT paintball is ideal for conferences with varying themes.

An example: 80 Hotel Managers from throughout Asia and the South Pacific congregated in Auckland for a “war college” conference, following a Japanese philosopher, of relating the strategies of war to the strategies of business with the element of “surprise and attack”.Leading up to and the highlight of the conference was putting all their strategies into practice at WCT paintball Riverhead Forest. The night before, all were briefed at their hotel and rumour had it that some came out to the forest that night and at dawn to check out the field of play. The 2 Teams (40 aside), all dressed in battle fatigue arrived in Army trucks. Once on foot they were swooped by Harvard War Bird planes causing players to run for cover. Both Teams were excited, singing their battle songs as they marched onto the playing field. The start whistle went, Strategies were put in to play. There was plenty of “surprise and attack” Helicopters buzzed over the playing field during the game with “The Charge of the Valkerie” being played from their loud speakers blarring across the Forest. Dressed up medics carted tagged players off on stretchers. A 3m high Kiwi Bird dressed as a General stomped around through the action.Laughter echoed throughout the Forest. A thoroughly enjoyable time had by all.

 An example: OSH Conferences.
Companies involved in the Construction Industry are combining their monthly OSH Conferences with playing WCT paintball and having their conference afterwards in the on site Bbq area, a covered area with plenty of seating. Combining business with pleasure results in a happy, appreciative work force
